These Amerigo girths are beautiful, durable, and well-padded at the pressure points. The hardware is top quality, and the girths are narrow and slightly shaped in the right place to provide relief for the horse’s elbows without changing the location of your saddle.

Use the longest “short” girth that you can.

The primary pressure points for the girth are at the bottom on the horse’s sternum, and up where the buckles are. These girths are broad and flat in those locations.

To increase comfort for your horse, fit the girth as high as possible in the billets - up near the flap of the saddle where the ribs are firm and strong, not down lower where the ribs are thinner and more flexible.
